Brow Lift Candidates
Ideal candidates for brow lift surgery are in good overall health and have a positive outlook about the outcome of their procedure. In most cases, patients should undergo a brow lift to correct one or more of the following conditions:

Techniques
Generally, a brow lift is performed under general anesthesia. Once the low-position of the eyebrows and eyelids is corrected through incisions at the temples and the natural crease of the eyelids, Dr. Alexander will perform a Coronal Brow Lift.
An incision is made in the hairline that spans from ear to ear. Excess skin is removed from the scalp and the forehead is lifted to a more youthful position.
Recovery
After the brow lift is performed, Dr. Alexander will loosely wrap your forehead with bandages to help decrease swelling and bruising. Dr. Alexander will prescribe medication to alleviate any pain or discomfort that exists during the next couple of days. Results usually last five to ten years with minimal recovery time associated with this procedure. Even though a coronal lift typically has a longer recovery period, most patients feel they can return to work after about a week to ten days. It is important to avoid any strenuous activity or exercise during the few weeks to give incisions time to close and you time to heal properly.
